Hyacinth

This magnificent bird is the rarest of the Macaws. This bird has a massive, richly colored, "hyacinth blue" body with a powerful large black beak. Among fanciers they are appropriately called the "Gentle Giant". 

As handfed babies they are docile, and affectionate. They love to be held and are known to develop an excellent vocabulary. They are known to be as loyal to their owner as man's best friend and substitute for the household pet.
